I was SOOO thrilled to be featured in Where Woman Create for a second time in the Feb/Mar/Apr 2017 issue! My feature is 10 pages long and shows my new studio and tells of my difficult journey to get there. I was excited to see my name on the cover and my studio pictured in the table of contents! Talented Anne Lorys of Fredericksburg, TX again took the beautiful photographs! So exciting to see this publication on the stands at Barnes and Noble, Michaels, Joann's and other bookstores!

So, I'm redecorating my living room and was thrilled to find this coffee table! Actually, French coffee tables like this one were originally dining or working tables and the legs have been cut down. I found this one in Fredericksburg at Carol Bolton Hicks fabulous store! They bring shipments back from France several times a year. I've also bought several French accessories there (including the demijohn bottle in this photo!). This table is SOOOO old with great cubbies on each end for books and is from Avignon, France. My chairs are new also and next I plan to recover my sofa--going all neutral! More pics to come!

I found this test tube/rack at Michaels (in Halloween décor) and couldn't resist buying it to store some of my art goodies! Love the way it looks!

I've been looking at these bar stools for a while and finally decided to get them! I love the way they look next to my brick! Getting these has inspired me to make a few other updates as well!

I received an email from Jo Packman of Where Women Create (and Sizzix) to participate in a project to make a small (5"x5") box for a cookie or mini pizza. I sent mine in and it is featured on the site www.wherewomencreate.com/box-contest-entries/. I was flattered to be included alongside so many talented artists!

My husband bought me this cute footstool from the Fixer Upper Collection for my birthday! I stenciled the numbers on it and made a terrarium to put on it next to the window in my art studio.

Faux mounted deer heads seem to be hot right now so I decided to make my own for my new studio. I decoupaged this paper-mache deer head  with French script tissue paper and added a German glitter crown and pearl necklace. I'm really pleased with how it turned out!
